THIS EVENT SPONSORED IN PART BY:
Led by Head Cook David Goan, Kith 'N' Kin traveled to Pine Bluff from Collierville, Tennessee, to compete with some of the best cook teams on the competition barbecue circuit. And certified judges from 12 states across the U.S. tasted and judged this
team’s efforts to be best all around. The team took home $15,000 in cash, an impressive trophy and serious bragging rights.
Additionally, David is now the proud owner of the coveted $10,000 Championship ring designed and crafted by the master jewelers at our name sponsor, Sissy’s Log Cabin.
And if that weren’t enough, Kith 'N' Kin
received a Golden Ticket for complimentary entry into the prestigious World Food Championship in Indianapolis, IN, where David and his team will represent Pine Bluff, Arkansas!

Our Bands Rocked the Riverfront!
In the afternoon, The Addyson Kennedy Band got the party started and showed us what the next generation of home-grown musicians is up to.
Later in the afternoon, Jon Bailey & the Heathen Revival treated us to original songs, showing us that he’s a gifted songwriter. With serious chops, they took us on a journey to Bailey’s gritty roots in Rose Bud through Northwest Arkansas to a rash of foot-stomping musical carrying-on that left us wanting more. We love these guys!
That night, the Tina Cossey Band opened with a powerhouse blues ballad and never took their foot off the gas! Tina’s heart-wrenching rendition of “Ball and Chain” would have made Janis Joplin cry, with hot licks by Josh Parks on Lead Guitar, Ryan Hinman on Bass Guitar, Jared Admire on Rhythm and Lead Guitar, all on a foundation of drums thumped out by Darius Blanton.
All in all, the Tina Cossey Band is made up of some of the best musicians and decent humans you’ll ever meet on a stage. If you were there, you know what we mean.
